Play Fantasy Arsene Wenger: Pick your team to face Sunderland

It appears that the Arsenal team that will play Sunderland this weekend will resemble a Carling Cup 11, rather than our Premier League line-up, as Arsene Wenger looks to give some more youngsters the chance of a first team run-out.

Le Gaffer is still aiming for a win so that the club can reach the 83-point threshold, but with a number of players out through injury and others already looking to pack their bags for Euro 2008 and World Cup qualifiers, Arsene will take the opportunity to select a youthful squad for the trip to the Stadium of Light.

It's likely that Lukasz Fabianski will retain his place in goal, while Denilson and Nicklas Bendtner will probably feature too. Kieran Gibbs was on the bench against Everton and he could be joined by Mark Randall on Sunday as Wenger tries to assess how their loan spells (at Norwich and Burnley) have improved their game.

Personally, I'd also try to find a place in the squad for one of our up-and-coming defenders - possibly Havard Nordtveit, Jay Emmanuel-Thomas or Emmanuel Frimpong - but that's probably just wishful thinking on my part...

So I reckon the defense will consist of Kolo Toure, William Gallas, Philippe Senderos and Gael Clichy.

In midfield we may get to see a very experimental line-up: I'd go for Theo Walcott, Denilson, Armand Traore and, with Mathieu Flamini on his way to AC Milan, maybe we'll get a chance to see how Alexandre Song can slot into the defensive midfield slot.

And up front, Le Boss will no doubt stick with Emmanuel Adebayor and Nicklas Bendtner with Robin van Persie on the bench, if he's fit.

With neither club having anything tangible to play for, do you reckon Wenger will experiment? What players would you like to see start the game against Sunderland? Here's my line-up:

Fabianski
Toure Gallas Senderos Clichy
Walcott Denilson Song Traore
Adebayor Bendtner

What you say makes good sense. Personally, I would like to see Jack Wilshire given a chance. I know he is only 16, but the boy is pure class. He is by far the best young talent at the club.

I think that line-up is good enough.
Although i'd like to see theo walcott paired with ade upfront.
With nothing to play for,its time for some experimenting.
Also i'd replace toure with hoyte, since toure has been less than impressive at RB.
