Poll: Who was Arsenal's Man Of The Match against Derby?

Arsenal strolled to victory at Derby last night, but while our football was pretty to watch, the frailties that have left us trophyless this season were all too apparent again.

Yes, we had a weakened side out against the Rams, but they are the worst team the Premier League has ever seen and yet they still managed to score two goals against us. That's only the fourth time Derby had scored more than once in the league this season.

Lukasz Fabianski made his league debut, but I can't fault the Pole in the goal for either of Derby's efforts, as that was more down to our defenders losing their concentration - something that has happened all too frequently this season.

At the other end of the pitch, Emmanuel Adebayor hit a hat trick to take his goal tally to 30 for the season, with Theo Walcott, Robin van Persie and Nicklas Bendtner notching the others, but it could - and should - have been so much more, with only woeful finishing, notably from RvP and Theo, letting us down...

Derby started the game strongly and had the Gunners on the back foot for the opening 20 minutes, but latterly the Rams looked completely lost and their defense just seemed to disappear every time Arsenal broke forward.

When is comes to performances, obviously Adebayor got the sponsors' man of the match for his second half hat trick, but I was more impressed by Cesc Fabregas, who totally controlled the centre of the park.

Gael Clichy had his usual solid game and is my number one contender for player of the season, while Theo Walcott also looked every inch the star. Mind you, if you can't look good against Derby, then you're in trouble.

It was also interesting to see Denilson slot into the Mathieu Flamini role. The Brazilian youngster had a good game and could yet fill the Flamster's boots, but he's only at the level where Flamini was two or three years ago, so I don't think he's ready for that regular first team berth quite yet.

Anyway, I shouldn't grumble after watching my team score six goals away from home, so I'll leave it in your hands to select who you thought was Arsenal's best player last night.

I reckon RvP was the man of the match, getting injured again.
