Play Fantasy Arsene Wenger: Who would you pick to play Burnley?

Sunday sees the start of Arsenal's 2008 FA Cup campaign when we take on Burnley away in the third round of the tournament.

The Championship side last won a match seven games ago and are currently languishing in mid table, so on paper, at least, they shouldn't pose too many problems for the high flying Gunners.

However, the third round of the cup usually throws up one or two surprise results and a so-called giant killer for the pundits to croon about. And with the Carling Cup clash against Tottenham just three days later, it's unlikely that Arsene Wenger will play too many of the fringe squad on Sunday.

With Kolo Toure, Emmanuel Eboue and Alexandre Song about to depart for the African Nations Cup, I could see Le Gaffer playing all three in the game and perhaps taking the chance to rest skipper William Gallas. Let's face it, if either one of the African trio picks up an injury, there wouldn't be too many tears shed by us Gooners if it meant that they missed their continental tournament...

Wenger might also choose to rest Gael Clichy, who had one of his best games yet for Arsenal against West Ham on Tuesday. A place for Armand Traore in both the FA Cup game and Carling Cup clash would allow us to see a bit more of the youngster who Gallas believes is our best teenager.

I'd expect our midfield to be pretty much unchanged from Tuesday, with Eboue partnering Cesc Fabregas, Mathieu Flamini and Tomas Rosicky, but again in the interests of resting tired legs, Abou Diaby might find a starting place. I'd stick with Tomas though and have both Diaby and Hleb on the bench, if needed.

And upfront? Well, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. The partnership of Emmanuel Adebayor and Eduardo worked well against the Hammers, but with the Crozilian probably pencilled in to partner Nicklas Bendtner against the Spuds next week, I wouldn't be too surprised to see Theo Walcott given a chance against Burnley.

Be sure to share your thoughts on team selection here, but in advance of any squad being announced, here's who I'd start against Burnley on Sunday:

Hoyte Toure Song Traore
Eboue Fabregas Flamini Rosicky
Adebayor Eduardo

Hoyte Toure Senderos Traoré
Diarra Denílson Lansbury Diaby
Walcott Eduardo

Subs: Eboué, G Hoyte, Mérida, Mannone, Hleb

I know Diarra is out of position but I think he'll cope. I think it'd be good to watch this team.

Hoyte Toure Song Traoré
Walcott Diarra Denílson Diaby
Eduardo Bendtner

Subs: Eboué, Senderos, Djourou, Vela, Mannone

Give the full on second squad a shot. Even if it means Walcott is out of position.
